Licensed Godly Play Trainer

Abby Arvold Richards

Affliliations: Episcopal

About

Abby is passionate about the spiritual care of children (and their grown ups!). Her love of Godly Play first began in the context of church ministry as a Minister to Youth and Children in the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, San Antonio, from 2006 to 2019. In 2019 she began a new and thrilling role as the Godly Play teacher at St. Augustine Preparatory Academy in Milwaukee, WI where she leads nearly 500 students in Godly Play sessions every week. In addition, Abby is passionate about finding balance in ministry and avoiding burn out, so this good work can be done for a long, long time. She created a system for scheduling to address this issue, called Fracture Zones, and leads workshops on this topic. Lastly, she loves to study and teach about the Enneagram and Family Systems Theory, all of which give valuable insight into how to care for those we love. Abby and her husband Greg have four children ranging in age from 16-24, and live in Milwaukee, WI where Greg pastors Journey of Faith Church.
