It takes time to get ready for a mystery like Christmas... but anyone who has tried to schedule Advent programming in the midst of such a busy church season knows that it can be challenging to make time for more than just the primary Godly Play Advent story.
This workshop will explore how Godly Play programs can navigate the tightly scheduled window between Thanksgiving and Christmas while also entering more deeply into the themes of the Advent season. Together we'll examine how to use stories like the Prophets and Mary the Mother of Jesus to extend the Advent story, as well as how to use stories like St. Nicholas and The Mystery of Christmas for special events or to celebrate the full 12 days of Christmas.
