About this Commuter CORE Training:
Godly Play Core Training is the most comprehensive training for the Godly Play method and underlying theology. It is the recommended training for those leading Godly Play sessions, program administrators, parents/caregivers, and clergy. Over the course of the three modules, participants experience all aspects of the Godly Play method and begin to gain fluency in the Godly Play core stories and fundamental practices. This hands-on training follows an action/reflection model of learning with a mix of trainer-led presentations and participant storytelling presentations.
The Commuter Core Trainings take place over 3 Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
August 29, 2026: Sacred Stories/ Sacred Space and the Environment
September 19, 2026: Parables/ The Spirituality of the Child
October 24, 2026: Liturgical Action Lessons/ Supporting the Circle of Children
Commuter core training modules may be attended in any order or location. Completion of all 3 modules results in Core Training Certification. You must register separately for each module.
