About Core Training

The Godly Play Core Training is recommended for every adult leading Godly Play sessions, administrators, clergy, parents & caregivers. Over the course of three days, participants experience the Godly Play method. Content includes immersion in the core stories, creating a Godly Play environment and supporting the circle of children. Additionally, Godly Play's guiding Theology of Childhood is introduced, so participants become more deeply connected to their work.‎‎‎‎‎‎

Core training follows an action/reflection model of learning with a mixture of trainer-led presentations and participant storytelling presentations. ‎‎‎‎‎

To support each member of the circle, participants are expected to be present for the entire training. A Godly Play Foundation participation certificate will be awarded upon completion of training to those who participate in the whole training.‎‎‎‎
